Lalitpur Mayors Women's T20 Championship: APF defeated Sudurpaschim Pradesh by 3 wickets

Kathmandu:  Nepal APF Club is going to play the final in Lalitpur Mayors Women's T-20 Championship 2024 remaining undefeated.


APF defeated Sudurpaschim Pradesh by 3 wickets and reached the final after winning all four matches in the group stage on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 112 runs, APF finished losing 7 wickets in 19.4 overs.  In APF's win, Mamta Chaudhary remained not out for 32 runs with 4 fours in 34 balls.

Sarita Magar was dismissed for 19 with 3 fours in 30 balls, Roma Thapa for 23, Rajmati Airi for 11, Sita Ranamagar for 5 and Indu Burma for 4 runs.

Lakshmi Saud took 2 wickets, Janaki Thapa, Kavita Joshi, Ritu Kanaujia, Sneha Mahara and Bindu Rawal took 1 wicket each.

Before that, Sudurpaschim Pradesh, who lost the toss and were invited to bat first, scored 111 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Captain Bindu Rawal scored 36 runs off 51 balls with 1 four and 1 six.  Ruvi Poddar scored 29-29 off 36 balls with 4 fours and Kavita Joshi scored 29-29 off 28 balls.  APF's Rekha Rawal and Indu Burma took 1 wicket each.

APF is at the top position with 8 points from 4 matches.  Sudurpaschim is in second place with 4 points with 2 wins and 1 loss in 3 matches.

Sudurpaschim will play against Bagmati on Friday.  If they win that match, Sudurpaschim will reach the finals.  If they lose against Sudurpaschim Bagmati, they will have to rely on the net run rate of other teams.

Lalitpur Mayors is in third place with 11 wins and 2 losses in 3 matches.Bagmati is in fourth place with 1 win and 2 losses in 3 matches. Kohi has lost three matches and is out of the final race.
